Monitoring SolutionsBranding Explanation

The brand names for our monitoring solution have been subject to changes since recording our videos and farmer stories.

MSD Animal Health, a division of the MSD group of companies under Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ., U.S.A. and a global provider of animal health pharmaceuticals and technologies, purchased the Allflex New Zealand business in 2019 (including certain SCR-branded animal monitoring technologies). At the time, Allflex animal monitoring solutions were known as Allflex collars and the relevant desktop-based software was HeatTime Pro (both of which you may hear about in this video). The dairy monitoring solutions are now branded SenseHub® Dairy – MSD Animal Health’s desktop-based software is now known as Dataflow II™ and cloud-based monitoring software is known as a SenseHub® Dairy solution.

Device Warranty

MSD Animal Health provides a product warranty in relation to certain defects in devices and hardware delivered to the customer. The warranty applies for the life of the contract (subscription customers) or for specific time periods depending on the particular device or hardware (other customers). Exclusions apply, such as where the customer failed to follow MSD Animal Health instructions for storage, installation or use, the devices or hardware were serviced by an unauthorised third party, or where the defect arises due to customer’s improper use, negligence or unauthorised modifications. Any other non-excludable warranties, guarantees, rights or remedies under law are not excluded, restricted or modified.

Installation and Training of our Monitoring Solutions

Full details are set out in your contract and can be discussed with your local sales specialist, however, please note that:

– installation of devices and hardware is included, but installation excludes steel, 240v electrical work, antenna poles and any other on-farm infrastructure, as well as any electrical wiring, modification to existing infrastructure, additional labour requested by the customer and internet installation or setup

– training includes initial setup support, additional sessions in after installation and, for subscription customers, an annual refresher

Training Support covers: Digital and face to face trainings to get software setup and users individual herd data uploaded to software. Training takes place over a series of weeks / months post install and covers a variety of topics. NZ specific training resources provided to ensure users understand the software, annual refreshers are also included.

Authorised Dealer Network

As we offer a range of technology solutions, including behaviour monitoring (cow collars), drafting gates, milk monitoring, automatic cup removers, pulsation and milking control, that are relied upon to work every day, we need to ensure we can achieve best in class support for our farming customers.

To provide high quality, timely training and support, we utilise the technical services of a nationwide network of local companies (Dealers) to help install, train, repair and maintain our range of specialist equipment on dairy farms.

Our Dealers also help us provide afterhours support, 7 days a week, and stock many of our service parts and critical spares, enabling a faster response to any potential query or issue a farmer may have.

The cost of any work undertaken by our Dealers will be invoiced by them, direct to the customer, unless stated otherwise.
